What is a misunderstood curator?
A misunderstood curator in LittleBigPlanet is a troll. Do you know what a troll is? Well, if you're the internet type of person who gads about on social websites or online games, you should surely know what one is. Us creators and curators in LittleBigPlanet love to let our imaginations run wild with all our wonderful creative and canny ideas. But then you have your average LittleBigPlanet troll. Well, I wouldn't call it average because it's not normal at all. I would just call it down right weird. You see, the thing about the trolls we have here in LittleBigPlanet is a bit of a uh... How do I put this... awkward and depressing thing. They only call themselves 'trolls' because they want to fit in with the crowd. What crowd though? I mean seriously! Why would one simply wake up everyday before school (if they go to school) harass some innocent LittleBigPlanet players, go to school, come home and then harass some more?
Mainstream styles and what-not
Don't even get me started on the their style. Here in LittleBigPlanet, if you have a black pod background, a planet and moon decorated in spikes and very, very dark material with some sort of awkward profile picture such as 'mean looking eyes' and an inappropriate profile description containing a copious amount of the the word "You're", then congratulations! Pat yourself on the back! You are now an official LittleBigPlanet troll try hard! Most people wonder why LittleBigPlanet wannabe trolls do what they do, and no one can really put their finger on it. Not even me. Personally, I've come up with a theory as to why they do what they do. LittleBigPlanet is a game centered around creating right? Well, have you ever played one of those naughty little troll levels? They're not too good!
Hypothetical victimization
Let's say, hypothetically I'm playing LittleBigPlanet 2 and I review a level before bed. I wake up the next day and come back home from school, boot up LittleBigPlanet 2, go to my profile reviews and grow a disgusted look on my face. Come to find out I have 5 rate downs and 0 rate ups on my review! *pats self on back* congrats to me I'm now a victim of a multi PlayStation Network account troll with no life! Yes that's right folks the're some LittleBigPlanet players out there with 5-10 accounts solely created for not only LittleBigPlanet, but for harassing other online as well It's true! LittleBigPlanet trolls claim these 5-10 accounts to be their 'Alts' Alt means alternate, in other words alternate account. My question is: "Why do you need so many accounts for ONE game?" I have one account and i'm pretty comfortable with my ONE account.
How about them PlayStation Network IDs?
Not only that, but they tend to have some wonky names too! Let's just throw out a few examples of some names they might have: WorldOverlord, EmperorAtheism, DarknessEternity, or even miscellaneous accounts like: LBPTROLL, LBP2Troll, LBPVTroll, or LBPKTroll. My question to them is: How on earth do you spend your youth trolling or at least trying to troll in all these games at one time? Do you seriously have nothing better to do with your life? Jeez. Maybe LittleBigPlanet is just that addicting or maybe it's something even deeper.
Misunderstood Boutique
There's always a distinctive look of an LittleBigPlanet troll don'tcha know? Don't be surprised, they all look pretty much the same. Dark clothing, spikes and evil looking eyes and what not. Reason being why they all look the same is because they're not creative enough to create a unique looking outfit let alone a style. Every now and then one troll will stand out from the rest of the crowd and create or do 'something' unique and the rest will just copy them.
And... here comes the "Truth about [Insert name here]" levels. *clap* *clap* *clap* LittleBigPlanet trolls have finally found a way to expose people for being, well, people! That's sounds a bit weird right? Some say they create these levels because they don't have any dignity left in themselves to express anything. So they create these levels to bring people down. For no apparent reason! It's so mainstream now that it's almost impossible to find a level that's not about a certain creator. They usually depict a select wannabe 'troll' as a try hard as disgrace to humanity. Really? You're calling that person a disgrace and you're taking your sweet, sweet time to create a level in a video game about that person? *clap* *clap* *clap*. If I wore a top hat, mine would most certainly be on the floor right now.
Future misunderstood resorts
I think LittleBigPlanet trolls resort to bothering kids online and turning people away from the game simply because they can't create. In their mind they're like: "Well, if I can't make anything, better go bother some kids!" Then they get addicted to the idea of coming back each and everyday hour by the hour and soon minute by the minute. Until ultimately they drop out of school. (Yes, I've seen this before) So what's the addiction? Bothering innocent players for no reason? Where is that getting them in life? I don't really see the big idea! When the years go by and a new LittleBigPlanet game has arrived what will they do? They can't possibly afford the game because they've dropped out of school or are either too lazy to get a job.
Pulling the plug on LBP Misdemeanors
And let's just say level moving, comment spamming, the ability to rate down reviews (which is already effective in LittleBigPlanet Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting. Hence why trolls don't exist in those games.) and other small bits and bobs that allowed LittleBigPlanet 2 players too much social freedom are removed from LittleBigPlanet 3. Oh and don't forget the add-in of a much more improved moderation system. Then what? Seriously, what?
Wait for LittleBigPlanet 3
To those who love LittleBigPlanet but dislike our dark and (mistakenly thought) nemesis of the dark planets, wouldn't you just love to have a block button in the next LittleBigPlanet game?I know I would! We'll see what Sumo Digital comes up with. But for now, just try to avoid these guys, they want drama. Even though they claim "They don't want drama bro."
