"But don’t worry…"
So, recently the official LittleBigPlanet Twitter account
suggested that something bright and beautiful was to appear on the horizon for us LBP folk. Something interesting, something new. Something appealing, something to die for… something… just something. Recent speculation at the Twitterverse made us believe that a penny may have dropped about a possible future installation of LittleBigPlanet
… a third game, perhaps? So naturally, we were all excited. Full of wonder and inspiration, as always, but to an extreme since we’d be creating in anticipation of a new game! How cool would that be? What would it feature? What could we possibly create that warranted a sequel to the original game? What kind of levels would they create… who’s going to create it? When is it going t- nope, it’s just a contest.
But fear not, the contest will be pretty nice. That’s right, no LBP3… yet. However, there is definitely a competition - based on Tearaway. It's an official contest where you must create a Tearaway-inspired level on either LBP2
, in order to win yourself a signed copy of Tearaway and a brand spanking new Vita... it comes with a new batch of free DLC including 30+ stickers and some music, so there's something good in all this! Sure, an old crank wagon compared to the possibilities of a new game, but they’re still going to reveal something at Gamescom
later this month. That’s always something to look forward to… I wonder what the prize is? LBP3? No! Get your head straight, men. This is no foolin’. It’ll probably be for something worthwhile, considering how well-anticipated the announcement was… we’ll just see what happens, eh?
Thankfully, we may have a Gamescom update. Earlier we received a tweet from the official LittleBigPlanet Twitter account which suggested that there would be some Sackboy-related doings at the event. While we can’t really confirm this, we can only speculate… but, once again we’re hoping for something to compensate for today’s little upset. We’re not exactly holding out for LittleBigPlanet 3, however. We are, however, subject to shock, suspense, surprise and satisfaction! You hear us, LBP? We want something more. Grr.
