Picking up your controller or PlayStation®Vita system is always the first and most important step when entering the world of LittleBigPlanet. Theres always fun to have when playing with the online community. And it never ends.
LittleBigPlanet is all about creating. When you create a new level, you can choose to publish it for the entire world to see. You can also check and see what people are saying about your level in the reviews section.
Upon creating a level in LittleBigPlanet, you can also give away goodies to the player who play them. These goodies can consist of music, photos, objects, and even keys to unlock other levels.
Finally done building that new level, eh? Head back to your Pod and hit the publish button on the menu. This can be done in all LittleBigPlanet games straight from your My Moon. Before you publish, though, feel free to write a description, add some tags and don't forget to name your level of course. It's no good to you if other players are playing an "Unnamed Level", because they wouldn't know what the level is about. Upon publishing your creation, the world is now susceptible to playing your level so expect some constructive criticism form other Sackfolk!

Making these extra changes just before you publish could essentially be the different between a level that tops the cool pages, or flops 'em! Impeccable grammar, refined details, a snazzy level badge... all of which are supplementary to the level's final verdict. If you put just the tiniest morsel of effort into making the cover of your proverbial book just as reflective of the content, then people on the prowl of potentially playable platformers and such will most likely notice your level while it's fresh on your earth!

Are people saying good things about your work? Or are they saying naughty things? If it's good, it probably is a good level. If it's naughty there might be a few things you need to change. As LittleBigPlanet's community grows more intelligent users are becoming very picky due to the talents of well known creators. Players expect more from your work so make sure you do a good job on the final product or or take the heat of other players.

Remember to behave yourself when you’re playing with strangers. No sweary marys or anti-social cyrils, you dig? If someone is misbehaving, or you see something offensive in a level, then you can report it by hitting "Select" to bring up a Good Grief report form. Then, the vengeful gods of LittleBigPlanet will rain down terrible frowns upon the offending mortals and speak lowly of them in general conversation. So be warned!
In online communities such as LittleBigPlanet, which invite users to post comments, links, images, videos, and just about any form of user input, such as LittleBigPlanet itself, results in moderation being a big concern. Online Moderation is the method the server, company, provider, or webmaster chooses to sort contributions which are irrelevant, obscene, illegal, or insulting with regards to useful or informative contributions. |
When you do participate online, be careful -- only type what you would say to someone's face. If you wouldn't say it to a stranger standing next to you in an elevator, why in the world would you "say" it online?
Honoring yourself is important in life. You cannot be a better person, you can just be yourself. So, being honest or not, you can never lie to yourself, "you" will always know the truth. The people who love you will appreciate you the way you are. I know a few people who have hurt their loved ones hiding behind "I was trying to be honest". Being honest is just a good virtue as being able to be silent. |
